Maggie is moving on up to the pre-K class at school tomorrow! I know. She turned 4 in September and I finally asked the director at her school when she was going to be moved up. She said they were just going to leave Maggie in the 3 year old classroom (for ANOTHER YEAR) which did not really thrill me so they rustled around and found a spot for her. We went to check out her classroom last Thursday and it looks so grown up! It looks like a kindergarten class. The walls are positively covered with pictures and numbers and letters. They have a computer, which Maggie is SUPER excited about. She will have a journal that she will draw pictures in and tell the teachers about her picture and they will write the "story." She has homework nightly--just a reading log, so nothing major, but to Maggie, that is the most exciting thing EVER. This picture is Maggie working on her "Me Book" that we had to do for homework this weekend. I want to share some of her answers with you as well. And lest you think she's some kind of prodigy, I wrote her answers for her.
When I grow up, I'd like to be a mommy because it's hard to be little. (HAHA--because it's super easy to be big). I want to cook and have one baby. She will be adopted.
Her favorite food is apparently Pop tarts but she can't stand mushrooms. (I knew that part)
Last but not least, you need to know this about me: I'm from China. I like to play on the computer. I like to play with my toys. I don't like to watch scary movies.
Gah, she looks so grown up!
