Vacation ended today and it was back to the grind. I teach 7th grade language arts and this is my classroom. I would say that I like my job about 90% of the time. I do not enjoy grading papers but I do love to read and talk about books with my students. This is my 13th year of teaching and I have only taught middle school--7th and 8th grades. Parents usually comment at the beginning of the school year open house that my classroom is bright and friendly. I hope so. I want kids to enjoy being in my classroom and I think the majority of them do. Plus, the poster of Ewan MacGregor on the back wall (so I can look at it all day!) doesn't hurt.
