3.11.10

Today was spring picture day at Maggie's school and I really found myself in a dilemma for what she should wear. Spring pictures=Easter dress for a lot of Maggie's classmates but Maggie's Easter dress is sleeveless. Also, she does not yet own a pair of white sandals for this summer and there was no way I could cram her feet into last year's pair. I thought about just sending her to school in jeans, which is what she's had on for every spring picture since she started daycare but I am just so sick of all of her winter clothes. It was also not exactly warm today and I didn't want her to be cold. Then I remembered that she had this pretty outfit hanging in the closet that she'd only worn one time! I love it. The jumper is velvet, which I don't think you can tell from the picture and the collar of the blouse has roses and the Eiffel Tower embroidered on it. SO cute. Plus, it's Janie and Jack and I got it for 16 bucks at the consignment store! Maggie was thrilled to wear this outfit because she got to wear her click shoes and the dress has a "belk." Wow, that was a kind of ridiculous discourse on Maggie's outfit today.

I got a free sample of this Purex laundry detergent and fabric softener in the mail last week so I tried it out on a load this weekend. It was easy to use but David was not impressed with its alleged anti-static properties. It smelled really good when I threw it into the washer. Tonight, when I got home from work, I put on a shirt that was washed in the Purex stuff and UGH. I can hardly BREATHE, the scent is so strong. It even seemed to flavor my dinner. I don't think I'll be buying this stuff. And that is my product recommendation for the evening.

  1. That is one cute outfit! And "belks" rate high with my four year old too...

  2. Oh my goodness Maggie looks so cute! I love the running commentary on the outfit choice too. Did Maggie say if she smiled for the photos this year. Wasn't it last year that they took the kids outside to play just before the photos were taken? Maggie looked adorable as usual i just remembered you telling me that! A little rambling just for you!
