I finally got my act together as a parent and decided that maybe Maggie needed to participate in an "extracurricular" activity. Maggie lucked out with the laziest mom in the universe and I am also a big chicken about going to stuff where I don't know anyone. But, I am willing to suck it up for her. A nearby church was offering a soccer league just for 4 year olds, the price was right and it's only for an hour a week. Included in the price is a uniform and a trophy, I think. It sounded like a good deal to me.

We went to Dick's to get some cleats and shin guards on Sunday but they did not have any small enough for our peanut so I had to order them. Well, we were able to find (pink) shin guards in size XS but no shoes. They came in the mail yesterday so she immediately tried them out to see if they made her run fast.

Oh, yes, they did!

She looks so grown up here to me.

First practice is Saturday at noon.

I can't wait.
