I don't have any new pictures to share today but I'm sure I can dig up an old one here.

Ah, yes. Here we go. Margaret was getting pissy about something here. Who knows what it may have been. The fact that she did not have her fake Ugg boots on? Or the fact that she was wearing a size 24 months sweater? This face is becoming all too familiar around these parts. It makes me tired.
This morning (after we carefully SELECTED her clothing last night), she determined that she did NOT want to wear the chosen outfit. Of course, I was in the shower when she decided this so I told her to go pick out something and come back.

I had picked this sweater out (because I LOVE IT) for her to wear as a tunic over jeans and a white t shirt. She refuses to wear white t shirts for whatever reason and came back wearing just this sweater (with nothing under it. Like a tank top) with jeans and a purple fleece OVER it. I told her no, she cried and she ended up wearing something ugly. I guess Maggie is over winter because she tries to wear short sleeves every day with this rhinestoned up denim skirt she has. Oh, I thought I was SUCH the parent when she was little. My baby was going to be Well-Dressed. Well, not anymore.

Life is rough around here. Especially when your mom is always
taking your picture when you're trying to sulk.
Joining you in the self pity party over kids having an opinion about what they wear...
ReplyDeleteI so hope you won't take offense at me laughing my head off. Oh. my. stars. I know I've said it a thousand times, but these girls of ours are seriously related somehow. The expressions on Maggie's face always remind me of those I've seen on Caroline's! And I seriously LOVE that dress and love the look of tunics over jeans. As a matter of fact, I have a sweet corduroy Old Navy dress that a friend gave me, and Caroline was too tall to wear it as a dress by that time. Last fall we had a SERIOUS falling out over wearing it with jeans. I think the first day was a FAIL on convincing her. The second day my bribe won out. She reminded me ALL DAY how much she did not like that stinking dress. I pulled it out of the closet the other day in a hurry to get ready, and you know that stinker didn't even bat an eye?! Oy.
