We went to the
Lazy 5 Ranch yesterday to visit with the animals. We (Kimberly and crew came along) all had a really good time. We shelled out the extra bucks and rode on the horse drawn wagon through the animal park. VERY fun. We did have, quite possible, the crabbiest driver ever but we managed to enjoy ourselves, nonetheless. Buckets of feed are included in the admission price so we all had ample treats to pass out amongst the llamas, deer, buffalo and various other herbivores that came up to our wagon. Kimberly and I speculated as to what might happen should a lion or tiger get dropped into the Lazy 5's fences. Buffet city, I would imagine.

The buffalo come right up to the wagon and open their mouths up and wait for you to pour the food in. There were also big emus that would come up and eat out of your bucket. Those were kind of scary. Birds are sort of gross.

Maggie and Anna Kathryn had a big time together and even fed the baby goats over at the petting zoo. We also had a picnic and let the girls play on the playground for a long time. Maggie was asleep about 2 minutes after we pulled out of the park and I was asleep about 10 minutes later!
