Grandma (my grandma, not my mom) took all of us out for ice cream this afternoon. My hometown has a square with a big fountain in the center and little shops (and okay, a lot of empty storefronts) around it. Anyway, this little ice cream shop sells Blue Bell ice cream and tons of old timey candy.

Maggie and Nuria picked cotton candy ice cream. Ewwwww! Classic kid flavor, though, I think. Nuria LOVES Maggie. Every time she sees her, she says, "Oh, Maggie!" It's so cute.

It looks like I am fibbing about the old timey candy in this picture, but I assure you, they really did have it. After we finished eating, we went across the street to check out the fountain. I kind of wanted to get in it because it was rather hot today. Also, the pollen? Is HORRID.

Maggie didn't like it when I pretended like I was going to throw her in the water. Like I would really do that!

The girls ran around on the grass for awhile. Here you can see Nuria checking out the cars because she was about to bolt out into the traffic, which almost gave Jeff and me heart attacks. We went home after that.

We had to recover from the heat, which wasn't really that bad, by watching "Snow White" and lounging in the chair.
the pollen IS bad! yuck!! sorry, I didn't know you were home too. we've been in LG since Sat, but we're leaving today. bummer we didn't hook up!
