Anna Kathryn came over for the day today and did we ever have a big time. She came in raring to go at 8 am (thankfully, I had just gotten up) and promptly wanted to know where Maggie was. (still snoozing). We woke her up and went and woke Leslie up too. Leslie came back with me after we spent the day at her house. Maggie and AK played and played in the morning and we really had a nice time. Then we all got ready, fixed a picnic lunch and went to the pool. Before I knew Leslie was coming, I had planned on blowing up the baby pool and letting the girls play in the backyard. I didn't feel brave enough to be able to take both of them to the pool on my own and be able to keep an eye on them. But since I had a helper, we went to the real pool! I bought the girls some water wings and they paddled around for a long time. Then while we were swimming, AK all of a sudden said, "I hungry. I HUNGRY." She absolutely devoured her lunch and appeared to be entering a food coma after she got finished. I think I may have starved her a little bit. We played some more after lunch and all of us went down the big water slide. AK and I went down the baby slide together too. I bathed the girls when we got back and Leslie read them a story while I showered. AK fell asleep very quickly and Maggie followed shortly after. They looked so sweet all snuggled up in Maggie's bed together. I like the way AK sleeps with her face all smushed into the pillow. Just like me. :) When they got up, Leslie did their nails and then we played with Play-doh. Well, Leslie and I played with play doh and Maggie and AK got bored after about 5 minutes and went off to do something else. Hee. All of us had a great day.
The only thing sweeter than a picture of one little girl asleep is a picture of two...
