Our excitement for the day was our neighbor burning yard waste in his backyard.  It's been super dry here and we thought it was illegal to burn trash inside the city limits, so David gave the police a call.  They confirmed that it was, indeed, illegal and they were dispatching a fire truck.  Now, I don't know what they thought they were going to find but an inferno it was not.  I asked Maggie if she wanted to go out and see the fire engine but she said, "I know what a fire truck looks like."  Hee.
