Oh DARN

Blogger has disabled photo uploads for 2 hours!  RATS.  Guess I will have to post pictures tomorrow.  I did manage to remember to take the big camera to "ne-nastics" today and got some good shots, I think.  I also was unable to locate my camera bag which contains the zoom lens, so I was not able to capture every bead of sweat on Maggie's brow.

On a completely unrelated note, David and I have been greatly enjoying our free trial of the Hub network.  I also did not realize that we don't normally get the Hub network.  DirecTV is giving it to us for 3 months because we celebrated an anniversary with them or something.  Anyway.  I had no memory of Tom Hanks ever being on "Family Ties" but there he is.  Last night we had a very pleasant evening of "Family Ties," followed by "The Wonder Years" (best.show.ever.) and we closed it out with a showing of "Doogie Howser, M.D."

I have been doing Weight Watchers for the past 11 weeks, I believe, and I have lost almost 10 pounds.  That's with some backsliding here and there but for the most part, I have been pretty steadily losing weight.  Our former realtor was there tonight and he made his goal weight and let me tell you, I teared up when he got to walk around the room and we all clapped and cheered.  What a great feeling that must have been.  Also, I did not even recognize the man until he told us his name.  He has lost 105 pounds!  Now, I don't need to lose 105 pounds but I cannot wait for the day that I get to walk around the room while everyone applauds.  I think I am going to allow myself to purchase a Kindle when I make goal weight.  That is a good incentive for me.

Finally, I MUST promote this awesome litter box that I ordered in a fit of rage 2 weeks ago.  We have the cat box in our bathroom and it was stinking up the entire upstairs.  I was regretting those cats.  I stormed downstairs, snatched up the laptop and got on Amazon.com.  On a somewhat unrelated note, Amazon is offering a 3 month trial of Prime for moms or other caregivers.  Prime is AWESOME.  You get free 2 day shipping on most of the stuff they sell.  Totally worth it.  Anyway, after being momentarily swayed by the Litter Robot II Bubble Unit (which costs $349!)  THREE HUNDRED FORTY NINE DOLLARS for a LITTER BOX, I settled on the Omega Paw Self-Cleaning Litter Box.  I doubted the litter box when I opened it because really, how could it be SELF CLEANING?  There were no robot arms.  It didn't attach to the toilet in some manner.  It didn't contain an instructional video on how to train your cats to scoop the box themselves.  I put it in our bathroom and waited for the cats to sully their brand new box.  After the cats do their bid-ness, you simply roll the box over on its top (I know, it sounds insane) and then roll it back.  The solid junk goes in a little drawer that you then slide out and simply dump in the trash.  It is awesome and maybe I would even pay $349 for it.   So, if you have stanky cats, purchase the Omega Paw.  You will not regret it.

Now, I think that is quite enough discussion of litter boxes.  Maggie appeared in our bed this morning.  She apparently came in around 2am, and I did not even hear her, like the good mother that I am.  When my alarm went off, her arm was slung over my face and I thought it was David who had a breakfast meeting at 7.  I told him that he'd better get up if he didn't want to be late, but then realized it was Maggie.  After she woke up, she informed me that she had had a bad dream.  She said that she and I were at the pumpkin patch along with Kimberly and AK and Leslie.  Then suddenly alligators were chasing us through the pumpkin patch.  David wanted to know where he was in the dream.  Maggie said, "At a meeting."  LOL.

Wow.  I haven't written a real blog post in a long time.  This was kind of fun.  But not that fun.  I'll return to pictures tomorrow.

  1. Maggie's dream made both me and Mark LMAO... and he's real sickly and pitiful tonight, so it's taking a lot to get him to laugh. I think I will not suggest to AK that there may be alligators in the pumpkin patch.

Also--Your PR campaign for the Omega Paw is working on me. Maybe I will spare our stanky cats. Or not.

    :)K.
