Oh, we had a big day on Friday! Maggie and I took the day off of school because we had 2 exciting events to prepare for. First, we gathered a bunch of paperwork together and drove down to Maggie's future elementary school and got her all registered for KINDERGARTEN! Maggie was excited once she realized that I wasn't actually leaving her at school to start K on that day. I was unsure about her school until we walked inside and everyone was super friendly. The school was bright and cheerful. There was lots of student artwork on the walls and the teachers that I saw seemed like the perfect combination of caring and no-nonsense. All good things. I think Maggie is going to have a good time at kindergarten. I hope she makes lots of friends and learns tons of new stuff and laughs and reads and has a good time. I think we are even going to let her ride the bus--in the morning at least. What a big girl!
The second thing we did was drive to the airport to pick up Mrs. Brooke and Emma who came to visit for the weekend! We were SO excited to have them come see us. Maggie started asking me when we were going to the airport at 7:30 Friday morning. heehee. We went to the mall and let the girls run around in the play area to burn off some energy.
Emma came all the way from Florida to see Mickey!
