3.15.11

I am returning to the land of the blogging, FINALLY.  I know you're thrilled.  Lots has happened since I last blogged.  I got out of the routine last week and just couldn't get my act together.  My grandmother passed away early last Wednesday morning so we went down to Georgia on Thursday after work.  My grandmother was 94 and lived a good, long life.  She and my grandfather were married for over 60 years and we share our wedding anniversary with them.  Granny and Bandaddy enjoyed camping (well, Bandaddy did...not so sure about Granny) and visited 48 states.  I think that's super cool.  Also, I found out at the service that after they got married, Granny dug some daylilies out of her new mother-in-law's yard for her own yard.  Those daylilies have multiplied and now grow in my mom's yard, my dad's sister's yard and my yard. I love pass me on plants.  I'm not a fan of gardening but I love that particular aspect of it.  Granny was one of the sweetest women I knew and I don't think I ever heard her say a bad word about anyone.  She was the kind of person who loved you even if you did some really stupid things and never said a word about it.  I have a really great picture of her, my dad, me and Maggie from this past Christmas but I cannot find it on my computer so I will share it another time.  So, that's what's been going on with us. More to come later with pictures!

  1. Oh Allison. I'm so sorry. There are simply no people better on the planet than loving grandparents, are there?
My 93 year old grandfather passed away yesterday ~ we're headed to Ohio Thursday morning. I'm understanding your pain so well right now.
